Building Industry-Ready Drone Experts

The drone industry is booming. Yet, the demand for trained operators outpaces supply. Our MoU with UoD bridges this gap by combining FEDS Drone Academy’s training with UoD’s academic excellence. Together, we’re preparing students for high-demand careers in drone operations, from mapping sites to inspecting critical infrastructure.

What We’re Doing Together

This partnership focuses on practical, career-focused initiatives to equip students with real-world skills:

  • Certified Training Programmes: UoD students will access our modules designed to complement academic learning with field-tested techniques
  • Hands-On Learning: UoD’s campus will be a designated training hub, where students practice flying enterprise drones in safe, controlled settings.
  • Seminars and Workshops: We’ll co-host events to teach students about drone applications.
  • Internships and Mentorship: Students will work alongside our instructors, gaining experience in commercial drone missions and learning regulatory know-how.

These efforts ensure graduates are ready to tackle industry challenges with confidence.

Why This Matters for the UAE

Drones are key to the UAE’s vision for digital transformation and sustainability. By training UoD students, FEDS Drone Academy is building a workforce that drives these outcomes. Our partnership aligns with national priorities, creating professionals who can deliver safer, more efficient operations across sectors like construction and public safety.

Launching The Next Phase

Our first training activities with the University of Dubai will kick off in the upcoming academic year, starting with curated sessions on drone basics, safety, regulations, and mission planning. As the partnership grows, so will the opportunities—for students, for research, and for the wider UAV ecosystem in the UAE.
